While fans wait in hope for a remaster, there are a few mods that can bring the older games into the modern-day by giving them a new lease of life. Thanks to the PC gaming community, your Mass Effect 2 gameplay experience can improve drastically, that's something difficult to achieve for a 10-year-old game. However, you can always give the old games, particularly Mass Effect 2, a new coat of paint. The worst part is that it had the best graphics and scope among all four Mass Effect games, meaning it made going back to older games a bit difficult. Apart from the abysmal face animations, Mass Effect: Andromeda had a less interesting protagonist, worse acting, and pervasive clunkiness. So, when Mass Effect: Andromedawas released, fans simply can't help but compare the quality of the two games from the same developer. It had nearly everything- a compelling story, dramatic world-building, stellar voice acting, and one of the most successful gameplay overhauls in the history of gaming. The rest I think are negligible, barring a few email reminders in ME2.Among the first three Mass Effectgames, Mass Effect 2 was generally regarded as the best. The Consort quest might be worth doing because the device given ties to the overall lore of the setting and the Consort herself shows up again in the Citadel dlc but again nothing important. The same is true for the Nissana Dantius.
Helping out/screwing over Gianna on Novaria you may want to do as she shows up again in ME2 but considering she never shows up again I leave up to you. The Cerberus side quests and the Luna ones are similar though again you might want to do for RP purposes (the Luna one in particular adds just a bit of an extra layer to a character down the road). You can actually skip Garrus, Tali and Wrex’s quests without real long term ramifications (so long as they all survive as well) although for RPing purposes they would seem worth doing to create the impression of the bonds that develop between them and Shepard. They seem really minor but are all vital to 100%’ing the side story of one specific character at the end of the trilogy.

Ironically enough, the five (well, four) quests with the greatest long term importance are dealing with Conrad Verner, Data Recovery on Feros, collecting the Matriarch’s Writings, helping Rita’s Sister and purchasing the license for Elkoss Combine (again, I wouldn’t call that one a quest).
